Intensive Outpatient Program

TRIP (TOTAL RECOVERY IN PROGRESS)

TRIP is an individualized Intensive Outpatient Treatment program typically 8 weeks in length lasting approximately 24 sessions. It includes: individual therapy, group therapy, educational lectures about substance abuse, problem solving skills training, and aftercare planning. TRIP also provides a full family program, bringing the teens and their families together to discuss concerns and problems, and complementary aftercare to graduates.

There are two TRIP programs:

• Weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:30 - 6:30PM
  • Family group is Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 - 6:30
• Weekends: Friday 3:30 - 6:30PM, Saturday and Sunday 9:00AM - Noon
  • Family group is Saturday and Sunday 11:00AM - Noon

The recovery process from substance abuse is a lifelong experience. The adolescent completes TRIP with a detailed action recovery plan. This aftercare plan is a blueprint for successful living. It helps the teen bridge from the structure of TRIP to a less structured recovery in the community where the client faces the same dangers and temptations as before entering treatment.
